Having the same problem. No errors/warnings are logged, and it occurs only when launching the ICE Supervisor. Launching simulated device interfaces seems to be working.
I was able to get it to work on a Centos 7 VM with Mate desktop but not on a Centos 7 (same setup, but on a physical machine) with either gnome 3 or xfce, lxde, kde, or Mate. Tested also on Ubuntu 16.04: same problem. Can't figure out why UI is not starting and nothing is logged.
By the way, congrats on whoever downvoted this post. There is nothing more frustrating than hitting a roadblock, asking for help and having the community cowardly laugh at you. Good job! Downvoting should be allowed with an explanation...
